At The EcoReef Project, we believe that every raised section of earth can be considered a REEF and as such can have a positive effect on our environment by – Encouraging deep rooting plants to flourish Entrapping water and distributing it to underwater reservoirs through fissures created by deep roots Slowing torrential rainfall to alleviate the causes of low land flooding Increasing the drying out time of rainwater by holding the water back from cascading Creating natural havens for flora and fauna to flourish Allowing various forms of agriculture hitherto deemed unviable

EcoReef Wishlist Reduced reliance on anti-foul algaecides for boats Increased reliance on ‘Beaver Bridge’ Leaky Water Levee Filtration Systems for tributaries Increased acceptance of Micro through to Major Terrace Farming Methodologies Convincing most households to develop raised garden home farming practices to reduce their household expenditure and their reliance on supermarkets Promoting fish breeding (to scale) in schools to increase the understanding of our waterways whilst actually increasing fish stocks Doubling safe efforts to protect our waterways which do not conflict with science whilst at the same time freeing up science to perform where the solutions can be considered risky Spreading the message that anyone, anywhere (particularly the poor) can play a valuable part in protecting our environment, without expending any of their hard earned money, by using The EcoReef Project methodology
